What is Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)?
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)—often called tapping—is a gentle, body-based healing modality that helps calm the nervous system, release stuck emotions, and shift limiting beliefs held in the subconscious mind. It combines focused attention on a specific issue (such as fear, shame, pain, or a belief like “I’m not enough”) with gentle tapping on acupressure points on the face and body.
The process helps to:
- Interrupt the stress response (fight/flight/freeze)
- Soothe the amygdala, the part of the brain responsible for fear and threat detection
- Bring the body back to a place of safety, allowing the mind to reprocess experiences from a more grounded perspective
- Shift the emotional charge connected to memories, beliefs, or symptoms
EFT is especially powerful for trauma healing because it works with the body, not just through talk or logic. It helps us feel safe enough to feel, which is often the missing piece in deep, lasting healing.

What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that you already move in and out of every day. Think about those moments when you’re absorbed in a movie, deep in conversation, driving on “autopilot,” or lost in music. In those times, your brain waves naturally slow down, and your subconscious mind becomes more open to receiving information.
That’s why commercials or songs can feel so persuasive—they’re bypassing the busy, analytical part of your mind and speaking directly to your deeper beliefs.
Hypnotherapy works with this natural state intentionally. By gently guiding your brain into a relaxed, focused rhythm, we can create the space for positive suggestions and new perspectives to take root—helping you make real and lasting changes from the inside out.

Is Hypnotherapy safe?
During hypnosis you are completely in control. At all times in a session you will be able to hear the voice of your practitioner and choose whether or not you will follow instructions. The suggestions made in the session come from your own words, goals and intentions set at the beginning of our time together and at any time you can speed up your brain waves and bring yourself out of hypnosis.
